About the Experts

Julie Beck, DC, MS, CSCS, holds a doctorate in chiropractic, a masters in nutrition, is a candidate for a masters in functional neurology, and is currently enrolled in the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine’s inaugural fellowship program. She also holds certifications in clinical nutrition and strength and conditioning and is a candidate for certification in the Institute for Functional Medicine’s Certified Practitioner program. Beck has studied an extensive mix of manual and movement therapies [ie, kinesiology, DNS, McKenzie, Janda, functional movement (FMS/FMA), cranial/TMJ techniques, fascial techniques, lymphatic therapies], as well as macrobiotics, and Taoist medical qi gong. Beck is a medical educator for Emerson Ecologics and maintains a part-time functional medicine, chiropractic, and physical therapy practice.

Daniel Kalish, DC, developed his own model of functional medicine founded on 20 years of successful clinical results and has certified over 700 practitioners worldwide in “The Kalish Method." He has collaborated with renowned psychiatrist R.D. Lang to use drug-free treatments for schizophrenics. Kalish is the author of 2 books, The Kalish Method: Healing the Body Mapping the Mind and Your Guide to Healthy Hormones. He is a frequently requested speaker for health summits across the United States.
